E-book sales climb every year, and it’s no wonder! You never lose your place and you can start reading on your cell phone and continue right where you left off on your tablet at home. Words too small? No problem, just make it bigger. And you can carry hundreds of books around with you without the use of a hand truck. Best of all for authors, you can now sell your book to people all over the world instantaneously!

It's not necessary to have a print book to put out an e-book. Many authors are now bypassing the expense and delay of physical printing to publish exclusively in e-book form. Your original manuscript can be designed, formatted, and uploaded for sale with astonishing quickness.

Welcome to the new digital bookstore.

See what we've designed!

We'll start with a conversation to learn about your book, you as an author, as well as what audience you're attempting to reach. This information is further expanded with research into similar publications to see what everyone else is doing, both the good and the bad.

We'll send you an e-book file so you can review it on your favorite device. Once everything looks perfect, we'll help you upload it to the various online stores. We'll also send you cover images for promoting your book on your website, blog, Facebook, or anywhere else you want to show off your new masterpiece.

How does the design process work?

Can you turn my print book to an e-book?

With the original text file, sure. A PDF can also be crunched. And if need be, we can always get your manuscript re-typed.

We think it's important that an e-book version looks as much like the print version as possible—and we'll go to great effort to match the appearance. Of course, if you're not crazy about how the original print version turned out, we can whip up something even better for the e-book.

Yes, there are actually three types of e-books: reflowable, fixed layout, and PDF.

Reflowable is the most commonly used of these formats, where page breaks depends on the user's font and type size choices. The text ‘flows’ to the next page as the view changes.

Fixed layouts are used primarily in textbooks and other image-heavy publications. As you might have been able to guess from the name, the contents of each of these pages remain locked in a specific shape and size.

PDF is a universal document format that can be read with different apps on nearly every device. It also has a sort of ‘fixed layout’ structure, which closely resembles the book’s printed form.

What, there's different kinds of e-books?

Can you build a book to be read on all devices?

Our digital team has years of experience coding files specifically for Kindle, iBooks, Nook, Google Play, and Kobo. Keep in mind that each retail outlet has its own set of submission standards, that tend to be ever-changing. Don’t worry. We keep up on all of that so you don’t have to.
